What we’re looking for

We are looking for a rounded commercial/technical leader to build and lead AUTODOC’s sizable, EU-wide Private Brand (PB) Pricing. Reporting to the Director Pricing and collaborating closely with Private Brand Leadership, you will play a key role in managing business growth and profits by making sure that our PB assortment is attractively priced for our customers, and designing and implementing an increasingly automated solution around Private Brand Pricing.

In this key role, you will:

  • Lead the Private Brand Pricing space including a dedicated analyst

  • Define with senior business leaders our PB pricing & profitability strategy to move from an internally focused to a customer-centric pricing approach.

  • Revise and build the end-to-end business controls around pricing

  • Guide/influence a cross-functional team across Product Tech and Data Science, which develop our AI/ML algorithms and establish a closed loop feedback framework to evaluate its performance

  • Own and optimize Private Brand pricing strategies that enable the company to achieve profitability and sales goals while also delighting customers

  • Develop a pricing approach that leverages ML/AI and competitive pricing signals to achieve company profitability and sales goals while also delighting customers

  • Design and implement new processes and metrics for the team to review and track results, course correct - and find new features to add

  • Analyze data on sales, profitability, market and pricing trends to understand cannibalisation across products and brands (Private Brands vs. Non-Private Brands)

Qualifications

  • 8+ years pricing/commercial experience in retail, eCommerce or consumer goods – directly or in a consulting role

  • 4+ years work with analytics (or AI - Experience developing and implementing ML models)

  • 4+ years working with tech teams to develop products / automate solutions

  • Experience in data analysis and visualization (e.g. PowerBI)

  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication (strength in concise & data-driven written communication) fluent in English

  • Ability to steer stakeholder effectively - both with and without direct authority – and find trade-offs between scope and development time.

  • Understanding of statistics and experiment design (e.g. A/B testing, difference-in-difference)

  • Experience in SQL/Python skills (preferred)

  • Experience in Private Brand Pricing (preferred)

  • Role model in taking ownership = thinks and acts like an owner

  • Fluent English
