What we’re looking for
As Indirect Tax Project Manager (m/f/d) at AUTODOC, you play a key role in managing and supporting indirect tax related projects across the organization. Acting as a trusted point of contact for both internal teams and external advisors, you ensure effective coordination, analysis, and compliance around indirect tax matters. You closely collaborate with other departments such as Accounting, Legal, Procurement, Supply Chain, and IT to support business initiatives with tax implications.
Responsibilities:
Lead and coordinate indirect tax (e.g. VAT) projects of moderate complexity, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
Support the preparation and review of indirect tax returns in collaboration with external tax advisors.
Analyze and reconcile VAT related data, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance.
Manage indirect tax audits, including communication with relevant tax authorities.
Conduct research and assess tax issues, including reviewing invoices and documentation.
Share knowledge through internal training sessions (e.g. within our 'Finance Academy') and support tax-related learning initiatives.
Partner with IT and Finance to improve and automate tax related processes and reporting using digital tools.
Qualifications:
Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Law (Bachelor's or higher) or certified tax qualification (e.g. ACCA).
2–4 years of relevant working experience in indirect tax, ideally in a corporate or retail environment.
Professional experience working with the Polish taxation system is a strong plus.
Fluent English skills (written and spoken) are required; fluency in German or Polish is a plus.
Proficient in using accounting or ERP systems (e.g. SAP), Microsoft Excel and other digital tools and reports.
Analytical mindset with a high level of integrity and attention to detail, as well as ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Confident presenting information, projects and ideas to various internal and external audiences.
