What we’re looking for
Responsibilities
- Place production orders from suppliers calculated by the replenishment system.
- Control supplier fulfilment to ensure orders are processed promptly and accurately. Take measures to keep the indicator at a consistently high level.
- Ensure product availability in stock through a seamless supply chain in line with the company's current priorities.
- Communicate and coordinate production and shipment priorities. Develop partnerships with factories and forwarders, broadcasting the company's interests.
- Communication with the IT department for setting and implementing technical tasks for development
- Mandatory participation in project activities within the department, creation, design and implementation of new processes aimed at improving the work of the department, participation in the development of the team.
- Working with the team to coordinate and implement KPIs, assisting the team in achieving operational results.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge and 4+ years of relevant experience in international purchasing and/or international logistics (transportation company, retail, wholesale, or manufacturing)
- Experience in working with foreign suppliers and/or forwarders
- Experience in mentoring or management/leading small groups of people
- Experience working on non-standard projects in cross-functional groups
- Basic knowledge of supplier management and inventory control processes
- Strong knowledge of Incoterms, order placement, purchasing and transport documentation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with suppliers, transportation providers, and internal stakeholders
- Strong organisational, negotiation and multitasking abilities to handle supplier relationships and securing favourable terms
- Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions to optimise logistics operations
- Russian = fluent, English = B2+ (Upper-Intermediate and higher)
Nice to have
- Advanced degree or professional certifications in logistics or supply chain management.
- Successful cases of implementation of improvements described by the STAR method
- Knowledge of international shipping regulations and customs procedures. Preferably sea and air.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and demand forecasting techniques.
