What we’re looking for

The Asset & License Specialist will be responsible for managing the company's software assets, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements, and optimizing the use of company resources. This position will support the IT department by tracking and maintaining inventory records, performing regular audits, and providing recommendations for cost-effective procurement and utilization of assets. The Asset & License Specialist will also collaborate with other departments to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings.

Responsibilities:

  • Asset Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of all assets, including their lifecycle status, location, and usage.

  • Software License Compliance: Monitor and maintain software licensing compliance, including tracking software installations and usage, managing license keys, and ensuring the company is not at risk of non-compliance or penalties.

  • Procurement and Vendor Management: Work with vendors and suppliers to purchase hardware and software products, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with company policies and budget limitations. Manage vendor relationships to ensure service level agreements are met.

  • Budget Management: Assist in managing the asset and licensing budget, including tracking expenses, forecasting future expenditures, and reporting on budget status to management.

  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate asset and license management processes, identify areas for improvement, and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness.

  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with other IT teams and departments, communicate with stakeholders, and provide training and support to end-users on asset and license management policies and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel and other data analysis tools.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with competing priorities.

  • Experience in budget management and financial analysis.

  • 1-2 year experience with data analysis and reporting using Excel or other tools.

  • Upper-intermediate English.
