What we’re looking for
As Interim Global Payroll Manager (m/f/d), you oversee and coordinate global payroll operations during the parental leave of the permanent Global Payroll Manager. This role involves managing internal and external payroll providers, ensuring payroll accuracy and compliance, and serving as a key liaison between Finance and People Operations teams.
The engagement is flexible, in part-time for two days per week or full-time from April 2025 to March 2026.
Responsibilities:
Coordination of Global Payroll Providers: Oversee relationships with external payroll service providers to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing across multiple countries.
Cooperation with Local Payroll Managers: Act as a central point of communication for local payroll teams, ensuring adherence to global payroll policies and compliance requirements.
Payroll Quality Review: Conduct quality checks on payroll calculations performed by providers to ensure accuracy and compliance with local regulations.
Treasury Coordination: Work closely with the treasury team to align payroll funding, review payment schedules, and ensure timely disbursements.
Monitoring of Payment Deadlines: Track and oversee payroll payment timelines to ensure no delays in employee compensation.
Internal Controls & Documentation (ICS): Maintain and document internal payroll controls, ensuring compliance with regulatory and audit requirements.
Collaboration with People Operations & Finance: Act as a bridge between People Operations and Finance teams, ensuring smooth communication and coordination on payroll-related matters.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
7-9 years of experience in payroll management, preferably in an international environment.
Strong knowledge of global payroll processes across multiple jurisdictions, compliance regulations, and tax implications.
Experience in managing external payroll providers and working with international payroll teams.
Proficiency in payroll and accounting software as well as process documentation and internal controls.
Advanced English language skills are a must, additional language skills (e.g., German, Russian) are a plus.
Strong organizational and communication skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
