Job requirements
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Customs Classification Specialist to join our team. As a member of the Customs team this role will be responsible for accurate classification of broad range of products in accordance with the Harmonized Tariff System Classification . This role requires proactive individual with excellent analytical and technical skills.
- Accurately classify goods based on the EU Combined Nomenclature (CN) and Harmonized System (HS) codes.
- Analyze technical product specifications to determine appropriate customs codes
- Continuously monitor updates to export control regulations, sanctions, and embargoes in Germany, the EU, and globally, and ensure internal processes are updated accordingly .
- Analyze technical product specifications to determine appropriate CN codes
- Monitoring the tariff classification goods for EU and third countries (CH, NO, UK)
- Support audits and investigations related to customs classifications.
Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge of EU export control regulations, export restrictions, and international sanctions
- Proven expertise in using EU CN and HS classification systems and tools
- Experience with customs practice in EU, including identification of issues related to classification
- Excellent knowledge of customs tariff classification, including direct experience with classifying products under Harmonized Tariff System
- Strong Analytical and technical mindset
- Advanced German and English language skills
