What we’re looking for

The Principal People Business Partner for Tech & Product is a strategic role responsible for aligning people initiatives with business priorities. This position requires building and maintaining credible relationships with functional leadership, operating as a strategic partner, and providing comprehensive support and solutions on people-related matters.

The role also involves coaching and mentoring business leaders, managing transformational change, overseeing complex employee relations to meet business needs and drive organizational performance.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain highly credible and respected relationships with the Tech& Product leadership to develop an understanding of the key organization priorities and capabilities and to effectively gain commitment to implement people initiatives and projects.

  • Operate as a strategic partner and be the single point of contact to business leaders to ensure alignment of people activities to specific priorities and provide advice, support and solutions on people matters to ensure organizational capability and leadership capability are built.

  • Coach and mentor business leaders to manage key people challenges, providing guidance and insight to build confidence and capability in people management

  • Support business leaders to effectively manage the impact of transformational change through utilizing change processes and developing mitigation strategies to ensure limited employee impact and maintain business continuity.

  • Work closely with Legal to ensure compliance, risk mitigation and effective management of employee relations issues and grievances in the workplace.

  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with People Centers of Expertise to facilitate outcomes; provide advice and influence outcomes; act as a channel for business in relation to identification of business needs.

  • Collaborating across the People Department to ensure processes, policies and solutions meet business needs and are successfully embedded.

  • Develop and make use of management information to identify organizational trends, provide insight on people matters and inform decision making. Analyze organizational performance metrics and come up with ideas for improvements and enhancements

  • Undertake a variety of project work including policy development, either collaboratively or independently to support the effective delivery of the People strategy, workforce plans and overarching company strategy.


Required Job Requirements:
 

  • Successfully completed university studies, ideally in the field of business administration or human resources.

  • At least 7 years of experience in providing proactive and professional HRBP support and advice to senior leaders in a highly matrixed environment preferably in Tech/Product functions.

  • Strong business fluency; ability to combine financial acumen and business operation knowledge with HR expertise and an understanding of the talent landscape.

  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.

  • Excellent communication skills, able to confidently engage and challenge at a senior level.

  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.

  • Excellent influencing and coaching skills with the ability to shape sound and balanced solutions to business focused people issues.

  • Exceptional change management skills

  • Exceptional ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines whilst ensuring accuracy and quality at all times.

  • Fluent written and spoken English skills.
