Champion data democratization by establishing a strong data culture and empowering teams with self-service analytics tools, while ensuring compliance, data quality, and best practices in the development and maintenance of BI solutions. Lead the creation and implementation of robust data governance strategies that ensure the integrity, reliability, and accessibility of data across the organization.

What we’re looking for

Responsibilities

  • Lead the creation of an Analytics Community within Autodoc, identifying and grooming Data Power Users, and driving the adoption of self-service analytics tools across departments.

  • Foster a data-driven culture by advocating for data transparency and empowering teams with the right tools, training, and support to make data-driven decisions autonomously.

  • Develop and enforce data quality assurance mechanisms to monitor data accuracy, completeness, and consistency, setting up real-time alerts for anomalies or data quality issues.

  • Ensure trust in data by establishing frameworks for the reliability of insights and reporting solutions, guaranteeing that analytics outputs are dependable and aligned with business objectives.

  • Define and manage the KPI framework and KPI Tree, ensuring metrics are consistent, measurable, and aligned with business goals for accurate performance tracking.

  • Establish and enforce best practices for BI and analytics solution development, from design to lifecycle management, ensuring scalable, sustainable, and secure data pipelines and reporting solutions.

  • Conduct internal audits for data functions to ensure compliance with governance policies, data security, and best practices.

  • Implement and track usage metrics and conduct user access audits to ensure proper access control, compliance, and identify areas for improvement in data usage across teams.

  • Collaborate with IT, data engineering, and business stakeholders to facilitate decentralized data access and use while maintaining centralized governance and data security.

  • Continuously assess and enhance data democratization efforts to ensure safe, scalable, and efficient access to trusted data for all employees.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Quality Management, or related fields, with expertise in establishing governance frameworks and driving data quality initiatives across the organization.

  • Strong knowledge of data quality assurance mechanisms, KPI frameworks, and best practices in BI and analytics solution development, ensuring high standards for scalable reporting solutions.

  • Proven ability to lead the adoption of self-service analytics tools, empowering users with trusted data for decision-making and fostering a data-driven culture across teams.

  • Experience conducting data audits to ensure compliance with governance policies, and maintaining high standards for data quality, security, and access.

  • Deep understanding of data democratization, decentralization, and Data Mesh principles, with the ability to balance security, compliance, and data accessibility in a complex environment.

  • Expert proficiency in data management tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Metabase) and a practical understanding of building and maintaining scalable analytics solutions.

  • Basic Data Engineering and Analytics skills (SQL, Python), and familiarity with Data Platform technology stacks and tools.

  • Fluent in English (C1 level or equivalent), with strong collaboration and communication skills to work cross-functionally and drive the adoption of a data-driven culture.

  • STEM background or equivalent experience, with a demonstrated ability to lead data governance initiatives and foster the growth of Data Power Users.
