What we’re looking for

As Senior Manager Network Design & Strategy you will lead the development and execution of strategies aimed at optimizing network movements for Just-in-Time (JIT), Migration, and Outbound processes, focusing on enhancing speed, efficiency, and sustainability metrics such as cost per kilometer, fill rates, and carbon footprint reduction.


This role requires a strategic approach to network optimization and a deep understanding of supply chain dynamics.

You will partner closely with the Supply Planning team, while they define overarching inventory allocation rules, you defined the optimal way for moving them through our extended network. You will design best in class processes and control their execution, improving our end-to-end processes and delivery lead times.  Together with your internal stakeholders from Supply Planning, Operations, Category Management and Retail you will be delivering projects to improve speed to consumer, promise adherence and efficiency.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Network Strategy Development: Design and execute strategies to enable efficient network movements for JIT, Migration, and Outbound operations, with a focus on improving speed, efficiency, and sustainability metrics. Evaluate and optimize existing migration strategies to enhance inventory placement and truck fill rates by adjusting migration and proactive transfer rules.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with key departments including Supply Planning, Category Management, Transportation, Operations, and Control Tower (once available) to align strategies and drive improvements in network movements and inventory placement.

  • Inventory Placement Strategy: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define and execute the ideal strategy for moving items through our network based on our inventory placement strategy. Partner with Supply Planning to identify optimal locations for nodes in the network and develop transportation strategies to place inventory strategically based on anticipated demand patterns.

  • Implementation of fast-glance logic and end-to-end notifications: Scope and implement Fast-glance logic and check-out promise capabilities, ensuring seamless end-to-end notifications to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.

  • Control Tower Design and Implementation: Lead the design and implementation of a Control Tower for network operations, establishing a centralized hub for monitoring and managing transportation activities, optimizing visibility, and control across the network.

EXPECTATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, or related field.

  • 8+ years of experience in supply chain management with a focus on demand planning, inventory optimization, and network design.

  • Proven leadership and team management skills.

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and data modeling.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
