What we’re looking for

We are looking for a Legal Counsel who will start in June.

Responsibilities:

• Overseeing legal cases and projects from initiation to conclusion.
• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements with contractors, including subcontractors, suppliers, service providers, and other entities involved in day-to-day operations.
• Preparing legal letters, including powers of attorney, statements, agreements, and corporate documents.
• Providing day-to-day legal cooperation and support to all departments, with a focus on HR, procurement, purchasing, health, safety, environment, customs, transportation, tax, accounting, and finance.
• Offering ongoing preparation of legal opinions on issues related to the company's day-to-day operations.
• Conducting continuous research, analysis, and interpretation of proposed and existing laws, statutes, and regulations.
• Identifying, evaluating, and addressing issues of legal risk. Monitoring and providing consistent information to management on changes in regulations related to the company's operations.
• Maintaining an updated register of contracts and powers of attorney.
• Collecting information and evidence relevant to legal matters.
• Actively participating in internal and external meetings, both on-site and remotely, as required by the company.
• Ensuring ongoing monitoring of internal processes for compliance with internal policies/procedures and applicable laws and regulations.
• Assisting in the ongoing development, updating, and implementation of the company's internal policies and regulations when needed.
• Collaborating with external law firms as necessary.
• Regularly contacting courts, authorities, and public administration bodies on ongoing legal matters.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 1 year of experience, whether at a law firm, in-house, or a combination of both.
• Authorization to practice law.
• Very good command of English in speaking and writing.
• Knowledge of German/Czech will be an advantage.
• Practical knowledge of MS Office.
• Sound and practical judgment, demonstrating the ability to make high-quality decisions quickly and effectively, even in ambiguous situations.
• Proven ability to work independently and contribute successfully to a cross-functional, global team.
• Strong research, analytical, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases/projects simultaneously.
• Excellent negotiation and drafting skills.
