AUTODOC’s culture is built on the values of its employees. 

 

Once again, we have seen how responsive and kind the people who work for our company are.

 

When the war broke out in Ukraine, our company made it a top priority to ensure the safety of our Ukrainian team, as some of the local offices were located at the epicenter of the war.

 

While the appointed crisis committee handled the transportation and relocation of employees to safer areas in Ukraine, many colleagues from other European countries could not stay on the sidelines. 

 

This is how the idea to organise an in-house initiative called People Help People emerged. Its main objective was to bring people together and offer a platform for those who could provide assistance and those who needed it. In the very first days of the project’s launch, we saw the willingness and sincere intentions of colleagues at all our locations to be as helpful as possible during these difficult times.

 

A group chat in Telegram has become the main communication channel for this. People from AUTODOC can ask for anything there, from assistance with paperwork and collecting supplies for those who had to leave their homes in a hurry, to finding accommodation at different locations and even housing. Our colleagues picked people up at the border, offered temporary housing, and put people up in their own homes.

 

This hard reality has made us ever more united, open, and strong. We proved that our corporate values, empowerment, inclusion, and collaboration are not just words. AUTODOC is a company full of successful and brave people who are always willing to help each other. It was, is, and will always be this way. These are the qualities that help us remain resilient in any situation.

 

Nothing can be more valuable than a team of over 5,000 employees of different nationalities and from various countries coming together as one supportive and caring family.

“This initiative was absolutely a team effort. Our colleagues from Germany and Ukraine worked very closely together and when the war started it was very important for us to do something to help. We realised that people were fearing for their lives and they had to leave the country very quickly. We wanted to show our colleagues that we are ready to help them. 

 

It was really amazing that so many colleagues got in touch with me, saying they had spaces available and they really wanted to help somebody. It was a wonderful experience to connect at such a personal level and to see that so many people really wanted to offer their support. And I think that what made this valuable is that we are not just working together but we really care about each other. 

 

A week or two weeks later, the company stepped in and put together all information in the FAQs, which is widely communicated and available and updated very frequently. So we can say that this initiative was a starting point for people to gather and share information, to get initial help, and to show they are not alone”
