The Road to Global Impact

Market regulations, customer feedback or employee-led internal projects? Regardless of what drives socially responsible initiatives at an organization, its effect on the business is what matters. To maximize our social impact at AUTODOC, we follow a holistic approach to Corporate Social Responsibility – for fostering dialogue with customers, suppliers, employees and local communities about what matters to them, we are able to remain compliant with regulatory frameworks and aftermarket industry standards.

Commitment to Sustainability Principles

“Our ambition is to be the leading tech ecosystem connecting the automotive aftermarket, taking sustainability principles into account when we evaluate our business practices and decisions. We are committed to integrating sustainable development guidelines into our operations to drive responsible innovation, foster ethical growth, and ensure long-term resilience” says Beril Kaptan,  Sustainability Manager. Her team oversees and elaborates  AUTODOC’s sustainability goals and KPIs. “We have recently formed a Sustainability function and established a respective Committee. Such a framework will help AUTODOC better report on its climate and environmental impact as it is required by the European Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive, implemented for nearly 50k European Union companies to strengthen the social market economy and lay the groundwork for sustainability reporting standards at global level.”

In 2025, AUTODOC started focusing even more on important sustainability matters such as minimizing non-recyclable waste, reducing plastic by further optimizing packaging material and greenhouse gas emissions, prioritising ESG-compliant suppliers and enhancing talent diversity within the organization. In March 2025 the company launched an in-person Anti-Harassment campaign across all European sites. In just a few weeks, more than 2,000 warehouse employees took part in the training that focused on practical, real-life scenarios from daily warehouse life, supported by multilingual handouts and visual guides. “This initiative is a part of our long-term commitment to employee wellbeing and a key step under the Social pillar of our ESG goals”, says Yuliia Rebets, Compliance Specialist conducting the sessions.

Solving Big Problems of Local Communities

Regardless of how ambitious a company’s goals are or how solid its reporting methods may be, sustainable development is never the responsibility of a single department. It is seen much more as a mindset shared across teams — a commitment to doing what is right.

In 2024, teams across AUTODOC delivered several support programs for local communities. This included first-aid assistance for regions in Poland and the Czech Republic that were severely affected by the September floods. With a fast business response and close collaboration between the company’s branches in both countries, AUTODOC provided 35,000 EUR in donations through humanitarian organizations to support families who had lost their homes.

This “doing what’s right” approach is also reflected by employee volunteerism at the company. Offices have their own charity projects led by local staff and in collaboration with local non-governmental organisations and public institutions. “One of our volunteering traditions is taking part in a countrywide campaign addressing poverty, called The Noble Gift (pl.: Szlachetna Paczka).” says Joanna Boj, Legal Manager and a charity lead in Poland. “For many years every November and December, we gather to pack goods for the most economically disadvantaged families. We learn their needs and Christmas wishes through a charity organisation which recruits and verifies beneficiaries, and then prepare and deliver dedicated gifts. It was great to see our company’s involvement in this employee-led program, when AUTODOC leadership decided to fund the most expensive equipment for the families, e.g. furniture and a washing machine. It means that we all share the same values. And, even though the Noble Gift is a project that confronts you with the hardship of children and lonely older people, it brings us a lot of satisfaction for being able to improve somebody’s life.” adds Joanna.

Company Values in Action

There are moments in a company’s history, when a charity action is a direct reflection of values of the leadership team. A good example is AUTODOC’s support of its employees since the escalation of the war in Ukraine in February 2022. “It was when our dedication to social responsibility took on a profound new significance. Through excellent crisis management and outstanding communication, AUTODOC coped with this unprecedented crisis. We not only helped relocate and care for our employees, but were able to continue serving our clients without interruption.” says Dmitri Zadorojnii, CEO of AUTODOC. Through planning and proactive measures by the company’s Crisis Team, AUTODOC swiftly executed evacuation plans, ensuring the safety of 150 employees and their families from Kharkiv, 100 from Kyiv and around 300 from Odesa. Up to now, the company has permanent office co-working spaces in Kyiv and Lviv, providing shelters that can accommodate more than 100 people and granting electricity, vital products and internet connections. The company enabled extended internal mobility for Ukrainian employees, who decided to relocate and now work in the Czech Republic, Germany, Portugal, Poland and Moldova. In response to the ongoing electricity outages in Ukraine, AUTODOC initiated distribution of power stations to ensure that employees can continue working during blackouts. This initiative allows colleagues to stay connected and maintain productivity in critical moments.

In 2024, AUTODOC Ukraine implemented one of its most significant initiatives: rehabilitation trips to the Carpathian Mountains for employees and their families. This project provided an opportunity for citizens of Kharkiv and Odesa – cities under constant attacks – to spend some time in a  safer environment. “Given the ongoing distress which our colleagues face, this initiative allowed them to recover in the company of their loved ones and regain strength.” says Viktoriia Mizinina from the Workplace Experience Team, who coordinates charity projects in the Odesa branch of AUTODOC.

This project was successfully delivered thanks to support and collaboration between Sviatoslav Belei, Director of AUTODOC Ukraine, Oleksandr Kravchenko, Global Travel manager, Viktoriia and her team of Kateryna Biriukova, Tetyana Artemchuk and Anna Ustuianova. “We took on the challenging and labor-intensive process of relocation in its entirety: from receiving requests, clarifying details about family members, assigning people to hotels and buses to conducting pre-boarding checks, coordinating on-site check-ins, and organizing their return home. When it comes to relocating 600 people within tight timeframes, it becomes clear just how much this task demands. Precise coordination, seamless teamwork, and full dedication from everyone involved.” says Viktoriia.

And as this war continues, so does AUTODOC’s support – from medical training that equips Ukrainian staff with skills required in life-threatening situations, through providing mental health support via e.g. confidential 24/7 hotlines and online sessions with certified counselors, and finally through organising an on-site blood donation. “Recently, we held our third session, this time for the Odesa Regional Blood Transfusion Center that suffers from shortage of blood for critically wounded soldiers and victims of missile attacks. It’s a recurring project, so anyone who wants to volunteer to give away their blood, can do it every quarter at our premises.” adds Viktoriia. Additionally, in recent years, the Ukrainian branch of AUTODOC has provided support to medical institutions for children and women, internally displaced persons, and those affected by the destruction of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant and the subsequent flooding – including animals. “We are committed to continuing our support for volunteer initiatives, as it is through the help and active participation of our employees that we build a stronger and more resilient community.” -summarises Viktoriia.

Creating a Place Where People Want To Be

Employees and leaders, hand in hand, cooperate in various charity projects, to quickly and consciously address relevant local problems, because social responsibility is embedded in our culture and in the business model that the founders of AUTODOC set up in 2008. A model which is based on long-term relationships with suppliers, high accessibility for customers and hiring diverse talent. Developing AUTODOC from a parts trading store into Europe’s largest digital pure play platform in the European automotive aftermarket – that in 2024 generated revenue of €1,555m – is the result of creating a place where people want to be: customers, who want to buy from AUTODOC, distributors, who want to sell on the company’s platform, and talents, who want to professionally grow at AUTODOC. Our collaborative approach and commitment to social responsibility continue to drive the company’s commercial success, proving that fostering an inclusive and uplifting environment for all stakeholders is essential for achieving sustainable growth.
