AUTODOC expands its marketplace to Germany and Austria

Broader product selection for customers, new opportunities for sellers, and further growth across Europe

  • Customers benefit from a broader product variety, improved availability, competitive prices, and faster delivery across new and existing categories
  • Offers local third-party sellers direct access to millions of AUTODOC customers
  • Part of a successful series of launches across France, Southern Europe, and the Benelux region
  • Strengthens AUTODOC’s digital platform as additional growth driver to B2C and B2B
  • Supports AUTODOC’s ambition to become the leading European tech ecosystem connecting the automotive aftermarket

Berlin, July 15, 2025 – Autodoc SE, the leading online retailer for vehicle spare parts and accessories in Europe, is taking the next major step in transforming the automotive aftermarket with the expansion of the AUTODOC MARKETPLACE to Germany and Austria. Following the successful launch in France earlier this year, customers in both countries now benefit from a significantly broader product selection, improved availability, better prices across existing categories, and faster delivery across the entire catalog. At the same time, third-party sellers gain access to millions of potential buyers through AUTODOC’s trusted eCommerce platform. “Extending the AUTODOC MARKETPLACE to our home market Germany and neighboring Austria is a natural progression,” says CEO Dmitry Zadorozhny. “It’s a major milestone on our journey to becoming the leading European tech ecosystem for the automotive aftermarket. The marketplace complements our B2C and B2B platforms, expands our offering beyond traditional spare parts, brings visibility to local sellers, and creates added value for both customers and automotive sellers in key markets.”

The AUTODOC MARKETPLACE enables carefully selected sellers to offer their products directly via the AUTODOC website and app. Customers benefit from the same seamless shopping experience they know from AUTODOC—now with access to an even broader and more diverse product assortment that goes beyond traditional vehicle spare parts. New categories include vehicle electronics, accessories, lifestyle items, mobility solutions, and security products. “We are addressing real customer needs while giving sellers a dedicated, automotive-focused sales channel with access to millions of potential customers,” adds Zadorozhny. “Unlike general marketplaces, our platform highlights relevant offers for a highly engaged automotive audience.”

The German and Austrian rollout is part of AUTODOC’s wider European expansion plan. The AUTODOC MARKETPLACE is now live in several key countries, including France, Italy, Portugal, Spain, and most recently the Benelux region. With each new country, AUTODOC further unlocks growth potential and strengthens its ecosystem. “This rollout is a key driver of growth and innovation within our company,” says CFO Lennart Schmidt. “Germany is our home market and has the largest number of customers, which makes this launch especially significant. We continue to invest in digital infrastructure to scale efficiently and serve our customers with an even bigger product offering, greater flexibility and relevance.”

Customers can shop both AUTODOC’s own products and those from qualified third-party sellers, with full transparency and convenience. While AUTODOC is responsible for shipping, invoicing, and customer service for its own items, third-party sellers handle those aspects independently for the products they sell on the AUTODOC platform. To ensure a consistent and reliable customer experience, all marketplace sellers are subject to clearly defined performance metrics and service-level agreements (SLAs). As is standard in a marketplace environment, first-line customer support is handled by the sellers. However, AUTODOC actively monitors seller performance and steps in when needed—especially in cases where a customer does not receive sufficient support. This approach enables a broader product offering without compromising quality or service.

The software powering the AUTODOC MARKETPLACE is provided by Mirakl, a leading global marketplace technology provider. This robust backend ensures smooth seller integration and supports AUTODOC’s high performance and scalability standards.
