Role: Director, Investor Relations

“I was incredibly warmly welcomed by all my colleagues. Everybody was open, friendly, and gave me the feeling of belonging to our company. (…) Working for such a vibrant, fast-growing, international company is a great privilege.”

My role at AUTODOC

I joined AUTODOC as Director of Investor Relations. This means that I am responsible for our capital market communication. Once we are listed on the stock exchange, we have to comply with a bunch of rules and regulations. It will be my responsibility to ensure that we adhere to all these binding rules. For example, we will publish quarterly reports on our financial and strategic performance. Coordinating the preparation of all necessary documents is one of my tasks. In addition, we will remain in constant contact with the capital markets, so I will speak with many investors and analysts to deepen their understanding of our company. Like that, they can make informed investment decisions.

In Investor Relations, no day is like the other. Preparing publications involves a lot of writing and analysis. On other days, we meet with investors and talk about our company all day. The mix of desktop work and investor interaction makes the job interesting and has kept me in the profession for more than 15 years.

Stefanie is #ProudToBeAUTODOC

I was incredibly warmly welcomed by all my colleagues. Everybody was open, friendly, and gave me the feeling of belonging to our company. In all my years in Investor Relations, I never had such a busy schedule from day one. Colleagues were open to answering all my questions, were patient with me if some tools or topics were new to me, and included me in all relevant processes. As I bring a special skill set to AUTODOC, my knowledge has been requested and used from the very beginning. Like that, I was able to contribute from day one on.

Working for such a vibrant, fast-growing, international company is a great privilege. We switch between German and English without even noticing. Thanks to all these positive experiences, it doesn’t feel like I’ve been with AUTODOC for only a few months, although there are still many colleagues I would like to get to know, and there is certainly much more to learn.

Saying ‘yes’ to AUTODOC

My reasons for joining AUTODOC were manifold, but I would like to highlight three of them: people, business model, and plans for the future.

  1. People: During my application process, the recruiter and hiring manager’s open minds, deeply anchored values, respectful treatment, and appreciation convinced both my head and my gut feeling.
  2. Business model: As an Investor Relations person, you have to be convinced of the company you work for. You have to stand behind the company structure, the way it is steered, its financials, and its future outlook. Only if you firmly believe in these points can you speak convincingly about these topics to investors and analysts. The aforementioned people and the information they shared, gave me this firm belief.
  3. Plans for the future: During my career, I have already accompanied two companies to the stock exchange. Getting the chance to do this a third time really thrilled me. I was given the task of building up the Investor Relations structures, engaging with investors and analysts, and contributing all my experience for the benefit of AUTODOC. Like that, I can hopefully stay in Investor Relations for many more years.
