My role at AUTODOC
I started working at AUTODOC almost 3 years ago as a Team Lead, People Operations, specifically responsible for the Portuguese entity. At the time, the entity was brand new, so I was primarily focused on creating and implementing local processes aligned with our global ones that would run smoothly, ensuring all our colleagues had a reliable and pleasant experience. As time passed, and with my natural curiosity, I became increasingly involved in global processes and deconstructing complex topics, enabling us to excel on a global scale.
Because of my hard work, expertise, and thirst for knowledge (plus a really great sense of humour), I got promoted 1 year ago to Manager of People Delivery for the Western Region countries: Portugal, Italy, France, United Kingdom, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg and Germany. Adding to that, I’m also responsible for the payroll in Portugal, Italy and France.
Throughout the week, I have 1:1s with the 8 members of my team where we align local requirements for specific countries, challenges they are facing, and how we can overcome them together. I’m also a strong advocate of honest feedback, so I ensure that it flows both ways. My day-to-day also includes meetings with several stakeholders to design new processes and follow up on existing ones, finding ways to automate or redesign processes to make the lives of my team members easier, and our employees even more pleasant.

AUTODOC has given me the opportunity to evolve in my career, to gain knowledge on more countries regarding their specific rules and labor law requirements and also to vocalize my suggestions to improve our workflow and put those into action. I’m really proud and thankful for the work we’ve been doing together, and really anxious for the greater things in our future.
I’m proud of the impact I make by being someone people can rely on. By making your life easier. By having you feel that your questions were answered. By leaving you with a sense of understanding. By being there for you. If you work in the People & Culture area, you need to be a people person and understand that your voice has the power to brighten someone’s day. Everyone should feel comfortable reaching out to you, and you must be available to respond. And I’m proud to say that I’m that person. I’m the person who steps in when something is urgent or unclear, maintaining calm in challenging situations while supporting my team and ensuring they develop to grow even more confidently.
