My role at AUTODOC
My journey at AUTODOC started three years ago when I joined as Compliance Counsel in June 2022, right when the last COVID-19 restrictions were being lifted all around Berlin. It was already a summer full of change, during which people started to appreciate their regained freedom, and I had just successfully passed the bar exam in Germany. The two years prior to the bar were a wild ride through Berlin’s legal landscape, from the cybercrime unit of the Public Prosecutor’s office to fighting corruption at Transparency International’s Berlin headquarters, where I had the opportunity to gain a lot of different experiences.

Rollercoaster is the first word that comes to mind when I think about the past three years. You have to know, I love riding rollercoasters and the adrenaline that comes with it. Naturally, every job has its ups and downs, some projects that we appreciate more than others, some colleagues we grow closer with than others, and so on. At AUTODOC, I found a lot of colleagues with whom I share this natural connection.
I will always remember my first big project, though, which I lovingly called Garfield due to my love for cats and my dislike of Mondays. In the beginning, it was hard to identify all the correct stakeholders, bring everyone together, and gain their trust and support, but together, we achieved a lot and went beyond our original goals.
Saying ‘yes’ to AUTODOC
AUTODOC was pitched to me as a potential employer when our VP Compliance, was looking for a new Counsel with a background in data protection law. During our first meeting, I was fascinated by AUTODOC’s success story and the goals the company set for itself and its employees. My colleagues introduced me to the team, which was very small at the time, and I could feel the vibrant atmosphere in the office and the enthusiasm each and everyone brought to work. After that introduction, the choice was easy to make.
